Kalakund Adventure , Mhow

Kalakund is situated near by Patal Pani waterfall. One can reach by Khandwa train or by Patal Pani road.  The place is well-known for trekking and hiking. It is famous for beautiful waterfalls which occur from approximately 300 feet height.
the route is blessed with captivating landscape and mesmerizing flora and fauna. Proximity of just 32 kilometers from Indore railway station is an added advantage. When one starts journey from Mhow railway station, Patalpani waterfall can be seen on the right. The train stops there for five minutes break and resumes the journey to enter a tunnel, with which the excitement starts. The train then passes through turns and three more tunnels and crosses the Choral River at as many as six points before reaching Kalakund station. With its scenic beauty and landscape, the journey of about thirty minutes leaves the passengers mesmerized. However, very few from Indore know of the route except those who have travelled on the Mhow- Khandwa railway route.
"This rail route was laid about 150 years ago by the British rulers."

A temple built as a tribute to the first tribal revolutionary of the country who fought for the independence of nation, Tantya Mama. Interesting thing about it is that the train passing by here has to stop for some time as a homage to this great revolutionary by enlightening incense sticks, though only when it is heading towards Kalakund and not while returning. Most of the people are unaware of this legend and the govt. too doesn’t pay any heed.

Kalakand is a famous sweet dish with Kalakund as its origin, it is a fine treat for all the sweet tooths. On the right side, behind the railway station building river choral flows and on the left side

For all nature and Adventure lovers, & of course those who love journey in train, this is a highly recommended place to visit.
No restaurants, rest houses could be located here. Only a sum of 50-60 huts. The absence of such structure maintains its tranquillity and serenity. It has no human interference yet and that is a plus point. It has potential of being a good tourist spot but on the other side it needs to be preserved from city-dwellers to preserve its tranquillity and serenity.

So, plan your next Adventure and jungle Camp here. But please keep it clean and green.

My “Life time achievement ” Visit to Khardungla Top 18380 feet

It feels woooww after reaching at an altitude of 18380 feet more than half of everest. It is advisable not to wait here for more than 20 to 25 minutes due to low oxygen nothing to worry guys just feel the fresh air & cool breeze here always carry lukewarm drinking water with you on such altitudes as it helps in getting oxygen for your body.
The emotions run high when you reach the pass finally. But I literally had tears rolling down my eyes on reaching there.
Visit LEH once in life to experience bliss and to re-discover yourself.
friends if you find any problem regarding health you just visit Army camps they have hot water & tea if you require as i had already mentioned if you face any difficulty just feel free to reach Indian army at any point as they have their medical centers.
